John Wayne Plate - Symbol of America‘s Fighting Forces.

This plate is credited to Robert Tanenbaum and is a similar design as the Franklin Mint issue made by Royal Doulton.

This plate was recently found. It has a thin gold edge similar to the regular issue and between that line and the picture is a feint band of stars, almost too feint to photograph. The back shows it is Royal Doulton but does not have a plate issue number nor the Franklin Mint outer edge wording.

It may be a prototype.

This is the regular Franklin Mint Royal Doulton issue. It has a thick gold band with stars. The regular issue had just a thin gold edge with no stars.
